June walk from Heddington to Roundway Down

Well done and thank you to everyone who braved the blistering heat on the hottest June day recorded in over 40 years! It was lovely up on the Castle, and so many butterflies and wild flowers across Beacon Hill. Top marks also to Dan and Dave at The Ivy in Heddington, who could not have been nicer.

History of Group

Thanks to Ray Ward who set the group up almost 10 years ago, and to he and David Bodmin who have organised so many walks over the years. We continue to meet once a month for walks which are always followed by a fabulous pub lunch

All are welcome, walks vary and are usually between 4 - 7 miles, and we pace ourselves to suit the slowest walker, with time to enjoy the views. New members are always welcome! Full details are always published in the Village Magazine.

For more details contact Tony and Rachel Howe on 01380 870661 or email trh12uk@yahoo.co.uk

John Tucker has very kindly forwarded some photographs taken on previous walks. If you have others please forward them to Sarah Dow
